We've had the great joy over the years of performing with Brian O'Donovan and WGBH's annual musical stage production, A Celtic Christmas Sojourn. The past year's concert was filmed live in
high-definition video and surround sound in Boston's glorious Cutler Majestic Theatre, and will be released today, November 6, 2007, on both DVD and CD!
As Brian puts it, "Our initial idea was simple: replicate the gatherings that we love to have at this time of year with family and friends. Share some songs, read some poetry, tell a few stories, and
dance. We simply decided to expand the guest list!"
The concert features Navan, Karan Casey of Solas, guitarist extraordinaire Tony McManus, the Mulcahy Family (including Louise and Michelle Mulcahy, Ireland's Female Musicians of the Year, 2006), Fionnuala O'Donovan (younger sister of Aoife O'Donovan of Crooked Still fame),
Robbie O'Connell, and more.
Cost for DVD is $17 + $3 shipping; cost for audio CD is $15 + $3 shipping.
