and a followup for the evening
We went to our final elementary school after a small lunch/nap, and we were fortunate enough to meet Willow.
Willow was the school's 'therapy dog' - cared for by the principal when not at school, but at school every day and available when any class or student needs her. She stayed for our first song, but got a bit excited by all the clapping the students were doing in the next one we sang. Since then we've been hanging about at the hotel, wandering around the parks of McPherson, and we had a lovely mexican dinner complete with very tasty margaritas.

I just heard my first set of pipes for the festival somewhere outside the hotel. I have to say that it's impressive to visit a city where an elementary school student knows what 'maidin mhaith' means and a whole lot of hands go up when you ask how many have tried playing highland pipes.
The blue fuzzy blanket and crisp white pillow are calling my name but then again so is the hot tub. I wish my school had had a therapy dog - what a cool idea. (E)
