Deb Kmetz Benefit Concert Poster

I composed this poster as an 8-1/2" x 11" flyer and quarter-sized handbill. To reduce costs of the benefit project they requested black and white. The circles were at first just an instinct but they proved to be one of the most popular aspects of this design. For some people they were stage lights, for others oddly round edges of a film strip, and for others they represented unity and wholeness. Proof, if any was still needed, that all designs can be whatever the designer wants them to be but they will still strike people in ways you could never expect.

This benefit was organized to support legal costs for Deb Kmetz, a former employee who lost her job with and brought a whistle blower's lawsuit against the State Historical Society of Wisconsin. more information
