DuPage County Poster

I created this 3' x 4' poster for Patrick Engineering, Inc. for a national GIS conference to showcase the company's recently created transportation Geographic Information System for DuPage County. The background is taken from satellite photography of DuPage County, faded except for a border just in from the edge of the page. Text is set onto translucent white polygons. Other images are manipulated screen shots pulled from the GIS. I presented the original concept for this poster to the company vice president alongside a few decidedly traditional layouts but the company preferred this more modern approach. The idea is that the text fits into the cityscape just as the GIS integrates fully into county planning.
