Irish Language Mapping
Winner: 2000 Barbara Bartz Petchenik Award for Cartographic Design

I created this map as a final project for the advanced cartographic design course at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. The goal was to design a map in CMYK for print on an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper. It needed to tell a story both in the map images and in the associated text. This project led me to my eventual Masters thesis topic studying the relationship between government language planning and the way language boundaries are mapped.
