2000

21 August. Thank you Craig! You have a great voice - we hope we get to see you and sing with you again soon...

We've just returned home, deafened, but happy, from a great weekend at Milwaukee Irish Fest, and at the end of the week we're taking off for Indiana, Ohio, and South Dakota. But tonight we had the honor of singing and laughing with Craig (top center), our honorary fifth member (and second male, which made Paul feel a bit better).

24 June. You've been here before, but don't know who we are? Take a look at the pictures we've added to our bios page! We've also added some links you might like if you like us.

In other current news... we played as part of the Celebrate Madison! festival today to a wonderful audience, especially considering the rain that brought it all indoors. Everything was a change of plans, but we're glad you were all able to find us, and that we were able to have Turner Collins (harp and bodhrán, more often seen in Far From Home) and Katie Dionne (step dancer with Trinity) with us. Thanks especially to Katrina, our youngest audience member at 11 months, and, from the looks of it, a future dancer.

Elizabeth will be spending the month of July in Ireland working on music, fixing her Irish, and reconnecting with old friends. In the meantime Joan, Paul, and Sheila will be working away on this side of the pond and we're all looking forward to seeing many more of you in August and September!

5 May. As these updates become too numerous we'll start archiving them, but for now I'll let this be a browsing space.

The post-CD-release-party update... First, thank you to those who avoided seeding the clouds over south-central Wisconsin last Sunday evening! We were worried about the rain but the weather held and we had a full and happy house at Garner Park. I have a feeling we'll spend much of our time here thanking all of you, so let us continue - Thank you for showing your support for what we do. We were blown away by your enthusiasm (not to mention your food... what a spread!).

A special note to Laura Lentz - Getting to know you through your work on WORT has been a joy. Based on the feedback we've received, our appearance live on Crossroads this week was a great success. Here's to more work together in the future, and hopefully more play together as well.

19 April. Two additions... First, we have sound! Given that we sing, what's really important is the music, so click on any of the links on our music page to hear a bit of what we're all about...

Second, we had a request for the set list from our gig at the Esquire, so here it is—The Esquire Sets

17 April. A great thank you to all of you who made it to our rather last-minute show this weekend at the Esquire! We had a wonderful time there and were spoiled by the kindness of both the people we worked with and those in the audience.

Also a huge thanks to Laura Lentz who hosts Crossroads on WORT. She featured our CD on her show this week and has asked to have us come in to the studio, so keep an eye on our list of upcoming gigs for details. Crossroads airs Monday mornings from 9 - 11:30 on 89.9FM.

In the near future you will be able to return to find stories about the songs we sing—both those that you can hear on our newly released cd, and those that we still have hidden in our chest of toys. We are indebted to the many individuals and groups who provide lyrics for their own music—in return we will always make our lyrics available, both in their original languages and in rough translations. Also soon to be added are more sound samples, more photos, and a guestbook where you can leave your comments.

Thanks for taking the time to come find out a bit more about us. We hope to see you often!
